Small Groups

Our small group ministry hopes to provide a safe space for students to encounter holistic transformation. They create opportunities for: upward growth (as students learn more about God through Scripture and prayer), inward growth (as students build authentic relationships with one another) and outward growth (as students learn to live out their faith in a particular context).

The Creative Arts Small Group is a new small group for artists or anyone who just likes art. We will read scripture related to creativity and art, and witness to others, especially other art communities. This small group will also be a place of personal creative expression, and we encourage everyone to share whatever he/she is working on. All are welcome to join: poets, musicians, dancers, painters, photographers, pastry chefs, knitters, underwater basket weavers, actors, gardeners, or even if you just appreciate art but don’t consider yourself an artist. Marketplace small group hopes to build a strong community that seeks to better understand the Word and what the Bible has to say about topics such as the love of money and evangelism in a corporate setting. This small group is popular with Business/Econ majors, Media Studies majors, and Sociology majors. This small group is welcome to all majors, as everyone will at some point experience the career world and wrestle with the issues and questions that come with practically living out the Word.

[Ethnic Identity & Racial Reconciliation (EIRR)]

EIRR small group will be a non-colorblind space to talk about issues relating to race in the Bible, on campus, and in our own experiences. We will see how God brings healing and restoration to our own identities as we also see how he reconciles different communities. We will read articles, share stories, celebrate different cultures & communities, eat different foods, and seek God’s heart together through Scripture study. All are invited.
